About Fynbos |
ObjectiveFynbos' primary aim is the investment in businesses with strong management in order to build sustainable shareholder value and foster long-term wealth creation while contributing to South Africa's drive for black economic empowerment. HistoryFynbos was founded in 2005 by Wilmot James and the Forbes family: Delecia, Keith and D'mitri Forbes, under the corporate advisory of Leaf Capital (Pty) Ltd. Since its inception, Fynbos has managed to secure the backing of a reputable funder who owns a minority stake in it, thereby enabling it to execute its investment objectives. By pooling their collective experience and cumulative expertise in the sector, the founders of Fynbos created the investment holding company as a vehicle for unlocking value in the media, creative and printing sectors and contributing to the quality of public life in the Western Cape. It has since developed into an investment holding company whose focus is not limited to these sectors but who now also invest in value-adding enterprises within other sectors where opportunities are available.
